What is the Summer Reading Program?

The Summer Reading Program is a state wide program that encourages kids to read during the summer. We ask them to continue reading 15 minutes a day. This is open to children entering grades 1 and up. We have 2 programs, one for grades 1-4 and the Young Adult Program for those going into grades 5 and up. Programs may vary by library but we give out prizes weekly, when they bring in their reading record. We also have weekly raffles and ongoing contests. We offer many theme related shows and events throughout the program for those signed up through us.
